‘Moving Outside from the Inside’
This group offers a safe/lightly held space to move outside in a beautiful setting, guided by internal sensations/movement impulses and the inner wisdom of your body. The group offers dedicated time to be with your own movement process, to move/be moved, to offer witness and holding to others and to move alongside/in connection with other group members and the environment.
The group is likely to be of interest to people who have some experience in expressive movement practices who would like a held space to deepen and explore further. Please give me a ring or email to find out more and to book a place.

Practicalities:
Where: Newton St Cyres Arboretum (directions below)
When: Friday mornings 930am to 11am. Please contact Karen for dates in 2023.
What to bring: The group aims to run in all weathers, so please dress in appropriate clothing for the conditions. Wear something comfortable but also that you are not too worried about getting a bit dirty/grass stained etc, to give you the freedom to move with the ground/the trees and elements, however you feel moved to at the time. I invite you to spend some time reflecting on what you need to be comfortable: some water/drink/snack if you wish, a blanket to wrap round yourself/to move on etc.
Payment: £7 or £5 if booked and paid in advance
How to find the Arboretum:
Newton St Cyres is approximately 5 miles north west of Exeter on the road to Crediton (A377).
Coming from Exeter the main road takes you into a dip in the village. At the bottom of the dip take the turning on the left. A short distance along this road, on your left, is the Parish Hall Car Park. Please park here or along the road in the village if the car park is full. Please DO NOT park in the church car park.
The Arboretum is situation around the back of the Church of St Cyr and Julitta, Newton St Cyres, EX5 5BN.
Walk out of Parish Hall Car Park and turn left, shortly followed by a right turn up the hill where you will see the church. To the right of the church as you face it is a gateway. Go through the gateway and follow the path through the graveyard. At the edge of the graveyard is a small foot bridge on your right which crosses the main road (this is a private bridge). On the other side of the path, on your left hand side you will see the entrance to the Arboretum. Shortly after entering the Arboretum you will see noticeboard, follow the path on the left of the notice board until you reach the Summer House where you will find us.
